I'll still have control from HA but the only way to get them back in Home is to restart the HA server. Steps: there are no steps to reproduce. However, I am not receiving any push notifications. Issues persist with and without safe mode flag. I see that also implementing your two changes @bdraco the issue is still present. For those of you who don’t know, Home Assistant is an Open Source Project that runs on a Raspberry Pi (or PC) and is a complete Home Automation platform. HomeKit is a popular voice-controlled platform that lets you manage your compatible smart home devices (like smart switches) using Siri, a virtual assistant embedded into Apple’s operating systems. I've realised the same time my Home Integration is becoming unrespsonsive my two LIFX (Beam and Strip) are becoming unavailable in Home Assisant as well. Which is weird considering that it works fine when I'm at home. It was working great for me on 81.6. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered: What do you mean by triggering HomeKit in the web interface? When on my LAN, everything works fine and is snappy, but when trying remotely, I get intermittent "Not Responding" which clears up 5-10 mins later. Scan the HomeKit set-up code found directly on the base of the Automate Pulse 2 Hub, it instantly pairs with your iOS device. Home.app works for a couple of hours and then the objects are “not responding”. Also both use asyncio, the server part of HAP-python that connects to the devices still isn't. @cdce8p ,@ikalchev, @xbtsw: I have found some info on differences between python3.5(used in hassbian) and python 3.6+; quoting python.org(https://docs.python.org/3/library/asyncio.html#module-asyncio) as follows for the diffs between 3.5 and 3.6: The asyncio module has received new features, significant usability and performance improvements, and a fair amount of bug fixes. I discovered that we have this situation if we have one device that is not responding because is power off. I am running on hassio so unfortunately I don't believe I'll be able to run py-spy. Side note: I had to comment out the start up automation I used above as homeassistant complained about the action: homekit.start. To control it when you're away from home, set up a home hub." However, issues can arise causing your devices to become unresponsive to Siri commands and will show "No Response" in the Home app, suddenly making your home not so smart. Hello, I am also facing this problem, again. Try adjusting the temperature on your ecobee through the Home app to see if it responds. Hello, I thought that the homekit: component should/would take care of something like that. >, HomeKit devices 'No Response' after a while. > Play with lights, compose with colors. > After opening the home-assistant iOS app, the accessories in the apple home app immediatelly respond. Controlling lights with your phone. My one observation, may be nothing, is that the sender_client_addr is None from the pyhap.accessory_driver. I really cannot see any reason that my config or db would cause the issue, but since I've hit a bit of a dead end, I may set up a completely empty new system on the weekend, enable homekit, test it and then build it all up from there. Thanks! That is expected when Hass makes the change and not a controller ( iPhone ). @dmonagle Would be great if you can give an update ones you find something. Hi, ever since iOS13 I have had massive issues with my whole HomeKit setup. I tried to debug the network by removing the Home Assistant HomeKit bridge and add the Trådfrï HomeKit bridge, which is working without any problem. Looked through my quickstart guide, no code, which is why i looked in the app, and no button. ... I've also opened ikalchev/HAP-python#292 to improve the compliance with the spec when something does go wrong. Is that what you meant? It’s missing from discovery? Thanks for the conversation. Once I restart HA though, for a few hours push notifications work again. Unfortunately no, I’m having the exact same behavior that with Homebridge / HAP-Nodejs. HomeKit itself is working fine: I can control devices and everything in the Home app reflects the correct status. Only the Home Assistant bridge is unavailable. Alexa Smart Home skill will trigger a AWS Lambda function to process the request, we will write a small piece of code hosted as an Lambda function basically redirect the request to your Home Assistant instance, then the Alexa integration in Home Assistant will process the request and send back the response. Apologies for the confusion. Not sure if 100% related, as the remote-only aspect makes me believe it's a networking issue. That is bad. Without it, you get the “No Response” problem when lookups fail. Hence the no response. I am using an apple tv 4k as the homekit hub, but it doesn't appear to be involved when the IOS devices are attached to the same network as the HA server is. I am particularly interested in finding where I can put in some debug statements for incoming requests from the iOS device. Using it on LAN everything works perfectly. In the following debug statements, 192.168.1.20 is my Apple TV 4k, and 1.29168.1.23 is my iPhone: Any ideas where I have gone wrong? So… while I’m solving that, I’ll solve your problem for you generically too, because they’re the same fundamentally. My intention is that if in a single request, an ON and a percent target are received, check the current state of the item. ***> wrote: On Nov 1, 2020, at 14:57, J. I'm not familiar with the file structure of homeassistant. There is another open issue here that refers to it: My testing today has shown that with the dev branch of HAP python, my homekit accessory bridge runs flawlessly. Now we are trying to figure out if there is a further issue (see the referenced issue in HAP-python). On Home Assistant, I updated the config for HomeKit to call out "port: 51827". HomePod – the smart music listening device is designed to suit any occasion and provide a high-fidelity sound anywhere. Did some digging and found that it detected the base station as a HomeKit device, but I don't have the menu option in the screenshot above for HomeKit. I also removed the autostart False so it would start up. I think this threading change fixed a potential issue, but the underlying no response issue still remains it seems. The temperature value can be seen on hassbian.local:8123, but my iPhone keeps telling me that the sensors give no response. HomeKit stopped working on my iOS 11.4 devices, but is working just fine on an old iPhone running ios 9.3.5. I implemented the camera in HAP-python 1-2 months ago, but I think you should ask @cdce8p about it’s integration into HA. The most annoying is that on four different iOS devices, the Home app will cycle through loops of "Unavailable"/"No response"/the actual device status and often take minutes to settle down. Unfortunately the server part that communicates with HomeKit is the one area I can't really contribute to / fix issues. At the moment that's the best I can do to help. Upgrading to iOS 12, has improved things for me so far. When using the HomeKit integration all of the devices will turn up with a 'No Response' message after a while in the Home.app. I do not have the Discovery integration configured in my configuration.yaml file. HomeKit has no good means to diagnose the network; frustrated. HomeKit devices: Phillips Hue hub/lights, HomePod Mini, Apple TV 4, iPhone 12 Pro, Apple Watch series 6, all on latest software. At this point, let's wait for the 2 changes to HAP-python that I have in my integration branch https://github.com/bdraco/HAP-python/tree/integration as see if its any better. I am now getting No Response on the IOS devices(iPhone and iPad both running 12.0.1). In a rapidly expanding market, here are the best gadgets to use at home. @bdraco Sorry what did you mean by the "Discovery" app? Can you give some more information which systems your using and how your setup is? Which is weird considering that it works fine when I'm at home.
